About this site

This site explains, in plain terms and in six languages, the metabolic theory of cancer as Professor Thomas Seyfried of Boston College sets it out, and adds a free calculator for the Glucose Ketone Index (GKI).

Where the content comes from

The site is built on Professor Seyfried’s long interview on The Diary of a CEO. The pages started as a summary of it, and each one has since been checked against the published research. Every page ends with a list of peer-reviewed papers, and the text links to them where it relies on them. The date at the foot of every page shows when its content was last reviewed. The site is independent and not affiliated with Professor Seyfried, Boston College or the show.

The metabolic theory is a minority position. Mainstream oncology treats cancer mainly as a genetic disease, and the therapies described here are not the standard of care. The pages say so where it matters, and nothing on the site is medical advice.

Referral disclosure

This site links to a blood glucose and ketone meter through a referral link. If you buy through that link we may receive a small commission, at no extra cost to you, and you receive a discount. The recommendation is not paid placement and does not change what the pages say.

Privacy

Visits are counted without cookies. The GKI calculator works in your browser, so the glucose and ketone readings you type are never sent anywhere. Only the resulting zone is counted.
